3. Crystal Clear & Artisanal Ice
Q9: How long does artisanal ice take to melt in a drink compared to regular ice?
A: Typically, artisanal ice lasts about an hour in a drink, while regular ice melts within 10 minutes.
Q10: How is artisanal ice made?
A: Artisanal ice is hand-cut from large blocks of perfectly clear ice by Iceman artisans. Each piece is crystal clear and crafted for bars and mixologists.
Q11: Why is artisanal ice the choice of expert bartenders and mixologists?
A: Because it melts slower, it causes less dilution, keeping the taste and aroma of premium drinks intact.
Q12: What’s the difference between Iceman Crystal Clear Ice and Iceman Artisanal Ice?
A: “Artisanal” refers to the handcrafted version of our Crystal Clear Ice. Both are ultra-clear, but artisanal ice is shaped manually for a luxurious finish.
Q13: Where can I buy Iceman Crystal Clear or Artisanal Ice?
A: WhatsApp us at 9270 2258 or order online at www.polarmart.com.sg.
4. Dry Ice
Q14: What types of dry ice does Iceman supply?
A: We supply Dry Ice Pellets and Dry Ice Slabs.
– Pellets: Small cylindrical pieces ideal for food transport, laboratory use, and fog effects.
– Slabs: Large blocks designed for industrial cooling, cold-chain logistics, and frozen storage.
Q15: What is dry ice used for?
A: Dry ice is used for food preservation, special effects (fog/smoke), and cold-chain logistics. It’s perfect for keeping goods frozen without leaving water residue.
Q16: How long does dry ice last?
A: The duration depends on storage, form, and amount:
– Pellets: 3–5 hours in open air, up to 18 hours in insulated containers (based on around 5 kg stored in a 20–30L insulated box). Smaller quantities (1–2 kg) sublimate faster, while larger volumes (10–20 kg) can last up to 24 hours.
– Slabs: 6–8 hours in open air, up to 24 hours in insulated boxes.
Q17: How long does the fog or smoke effect last when using dry ice?
A: Fog duration depends on quantity of dry ice pellets and water temperature:
– 1 kg of pellets in hot water generates dense fog for 5–8 minutes.
– 2–3 kg of pellets produce fog for 10–20 minutes, depending on air movement and water replenishment.
– For continuous fog, top up both warm water and pellets as needed.
Q18: How should I handle and store dry ice?
A: Always use gloves or tongs, and never touch directly to prevent frost burns. Store in ventilated coolers only — never in airtight containers or freezers.
Q19: Do you provide packaging for dry ice?
A: Yes. We supply thermal bags and insulated boxes depending on volume and usage. Our team can advise the best packaging for your needs.
5. Quality Assurance
Q20: Are your products certified?
A: Yes. All our food-grade ice products are FSSC certified, and selected lines including Tube Ice, Crushed Ice, and Dry Ice are Halal certified.
Q21: What do these certifications mean for customers?
A: These certifications confirm that our products are produced in facilities that meet international food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring that every batch of ice meets consistent quality and safety benchmarks.
Q22: How does Iceman maintain product quality?
A: We operate under a strict cold-chain management system, using automated production lines, sanitized packaging, and temperature-controlled logistics to maintain purity and consistency from plant to customer.
Q23: Can I request documentation for certification?
A: Yes. Our team can provide FSSC and Halal certificates upon request for corporate or regulatory purposes.
